daily drama of body 01 – 02 shows flesh in extreme close-up either from the inside or from the outside or somewhere in between: tumours, organs, lungs, blood, penis, testicles, vulva, skin – folds pressing into each other and absorbing one another. The drawings move between creation and illness, between bodies merging and bodies breaking down. Interior and exterior collapse; the skin loses its function as border.
What remains resists categorisation: not whole, not gendered, somewhere beyond the beautiful and the abject. Presented as fragment and at overwhelming scale, it refuses the optimised, normalised body image while holding onto vulnerability, desire, and the daily drama of being in a body at all.
