hybride: alle Vögel sind schon da is a sound piece based on the vocal rendering of names through birdsong. Names drawn from literature, religion, folklore, and mythology are articulated as chirping sequences. They refer to hybrid birds, figures that combine avian and human or animal features and appear across different narrative traditions. Each name is structured as a fixed sequence of five chirps. The structure remains constant, while pitch, tempo, and intensity vary. This repetition establishes a framework in which difference appears through sound.
The work was developed in collaboration with Helmut Wolfertstetter, whose bird-chirping practice provides the vocal material. The chirps do not imitate specific birds and do not clarify the names they carry. They register them as patterns.
