pas de deux
2021, three Raspberry Pis and/or laptop, Bluetooth headphones, two microphones, projector, speakers
How and where do you locate yourself in isolation?
What extremes do we expose and which boundaries are broken?
Are noises sufficient as proof of existence?
The performance "Pas de deux", created in close cooperation with the DJ Ada Luvv (https://soundcloud.com/adalovvve), took place in the premises of the Laube and the TV HIFI in Karlsruhe. It connected the two rooms digitally: A live stream on the respective website reproduced the sounds and noises in the rooms that were created by the performance. The separation of work examined our interpersonal relationship, as well as the individual relationship to our own psyche and physique. The performance was limited by the physical resilience, after 5 hours and 28 minutes the end was reached.

In ballet, a pas de deux [pɑ d(ə) dø] (French, literally "step of two") is a dance duet in which two dancers, typically a male and a female, perform ballet steps together.[1][2] The pas de deux is characteristic of classical ballet and can be found in many well-known ballets, including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Giselle.[1] It is most often performed by a male and a female (a danseur and a ballerina) though there are exceptions, such as in the film White Nights, in which a pas de deux is performed by Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gregory Hines.[1]
