"(...) An enticing melody echoes throughout the exhibition spaces, seemingly emanating from the lake, distorted yet alluring. The sound installation, say my name (it’s gonna be lonely), echoes 41 pop songs from recent decades, with Goehringer whispering, singing, and reciting excerpts intertwined with her theoretical analyses. This auditory tapestry evokes the allure and trepidation of a siren’s call, blurring the distinction between singular and multiple voices, enveloping listeners in a sea of language and rhythm. The pop songs perpetuate the myth of the seductive (water) woman, appearing and vanishing unpredictably, harboring danger for those—especially men—with whom she forms connections. Light refracts through thousands of mirrors, casting shimmering reflections onto the walls, imbuing the space with an ethereal, underwater ambiance.(...)"
